(2016/07/11):Munich/Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale/Amberg. Two weeks after participating at the AUTOMATICA 2016, the leading trade fair for industrial automation    and    mechatronics, the management of Preh IMA Automation GmbH (PIA) took stock of the company’s presence    and     drew a positive conclusion. “We’ve already assessed all the discussions we had    and    are extremely happy with the number    and    quality of our trade fair contacts,” the PIA Managing Director Günter Brosch stated. “In Munich, we were not only able to impress our existing customers but also potential new customers with our innovation. The international nature of the trade fair contacts should also be highlighted, since half of our visitors came from abroad.” At the AUTOMATICA 2016, PIA presented itself to customers as a global player for assembly   and   automation solutions for the first time since the merger between the two corporate divisions in Bad Neustadt   and   Amberg.

The international positioning of the Preh Group automation specialists was highlighted by the presences of the PIA locations Ningbo (China)   and   Evansville (USA). In early May 2016, Preh IMA Automation acquired the US company EVANA   and   integrated it into PIA.

Preh IMA Automation’s trade fair highlights included the user interface PIA smart.TIA, which provides user-friendly, intuitive machine operation for a range of different industrial applications. Trade fair visitors were especially excited by the PIA Roboflex Haptics testing cell, which integrates robots to provide flexible, cycle-time optimised haptics testing for control dials, buttons   and   switches   and   was specially developed for automotive customers.

A much-discussed trend at the AUTOMATICA 2016 was the theme of Industry 4.0. Trade fair visitors to the PIA st  and   were also presented with an overview of that theme with the help of various animations. An interactive multitouch application demonstrated the processes of the future   and   provided insight into the production methods of tomorrow.

The AUTOMATICA is the world’s leading trade fair for mechatronics   and   automation   and   is regarded as an innovation platform for the production industry   and   therefore an essential event for all investment decision-makers in the industry.
